Position: Manager
Department: Student Administrative
Position Summary
Assumes responsibility for the daily operations of the
Student Administrative Services Center (SASC), ensuring quality customer
service as well as effective and efficient office operations. Supervises support staff. This is a full time exempt
position.
Key Responsibilities
Oversees the SASC function, ensuring quality delivery
of student services. Facilitates a team approach among SASC support staff as well as
with staff within other SASC units. Works closely with the Bursar,
Registrar and Director of Student Financial Assistance in the implementation of
short and long-range planning initiatives to ensure appropriate student
services are delivered with a high level of professionalism, with special
emphasis on team building and the coordination of efforts.*
Establishes, implements, monitors and manages the operational and customer
service functions of SASC including, but not limited to, daily cashiering,
balancing and depositing of funds, problem resolution and case completion.
Continuously analyzes processes and/or procedures in an effort to streamline
and/or improve the overall effectiveness of the unit. * Assumes responsibility
for monitoring all SASC activities through established audit, tracking and/or
Banner administrative systems. Creates, interprets and delivers SASC status
reports to the Associate Provost, Assistant Vice President for Finance and
Controller as well as the directors of each of the SASC service units.
Maintains current knowledge of all federal and regulatory
guidelines as well as University policies and procedures. Provides initial and on-going training to SASC support staff to
ensure adherence and compliance with all areas. * Provides management,
guidance, training and evaluation to support staff. *
Develops and manages the department within the framework of a balanced budget.
Acts as the primary liaison to other University departments
as well as external agencies.
Assumes responsibility for adherence to rules and regulations governing
Performs other related duties as assigned. * Indicates an "essential"
job function.
Formal Education
Bachelor’s
Degree required.
Work Experience

years to < 3 years.
Knowledge and Skills
Professional Skills. Requires knowledge of theories and
practices of a professional field. This level of skill is typically
reserved for an individual with a four-year degree or a high level of
vocational skill demonstrated by a number of years of on-the-job experience. Writes reports using technical data requiring considerable
interpretation. Develops new methods and procedures.
Frequently applies knowledge to practical issues and problems.
