Rhode Island College is seeking an individual to provide leadership for the formulation, coordination, and implementation of the Undergraduate Admissions Policies of the College and be responsible for the development of programs and materials for prospective students; and develops, maintains, and facilitates professional relationships with secondary schools.  In addition, the individual is responsible for staff training, budgeting, and overall supervision of the admissions process to include freshman, transfer, second-degree, and readmission programs, policies, and procedures.

Established in 1854, Rhode Island College is a comprehensive mid-size institution of approximately 9000 students.   The 180-acre campus is located in beautiful, historic Providence, Rhode Island's capital, with excellent proximity to the academic and cultural resources of Boston and New York City.  The Atlantic coastline and Rhode Island's breathtaking Narragansett Bay offer the College community beaches, boating, and other recreational opportunities.  In addition to a dynamic professional environment, the College offers a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience plus excellent benefits.  Rhode Island College is the oldest of the three public institutions of higher education that operate under the aegis of the Board of Governors for Higher Education.

Requirements include:  Master's degree in administration, counseling, guidance, or other appropriate fields; minimum of three years of experience in higher education administration; successful full-time experience in college admissions work.

 

Preferred qualifications:  Successful full-time experience in college admissions work at the supervisory level.
