POSITION TITLE:  Dean of Student Affairs (Full-time 12-months)

 

SALARY:  Level 6 Confidential Unit ($45,488 to $64,745)

 

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must have at least five years experience in educational administration at the Executive Level.  A Master’s Degree in Education, Psychology, or other related human development fields is required.  A doctorate is preferred.  Applicant must have excellent organizational, problem solving and supervisory/communication skills; knowledge of the various functions in a college setting; knowledge of enrollment and retention management concepts and models; in depth understanding of student development theory and the needs of traditional and nontraditional students; and knowledge of data driven decision making.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  This confidential full-time benefited position reports directly to the President of the College.  The position

·  Directs, supervises and coordinates student development activities

·  plans, organizes, administers and evaluates a comprehensive strategic enrollment management system;

· directs, supervises and coordinates retention activities in conjunction with the Assistant Dean of Students;

· directs, supervises and coordinates the offices of Admissions and Financial Aid;

· prepares written reports that detail evaluative data and performance outcomes for enrollment management strategies and for state and federal grant objectives;

· plans with faculty and administrators to identify key enrollment management strategies to maintain optimum enrollment levels for the College;

· and reviews, approves and monitors budgets associated with all program activities.
